CLG Distribution has teamed up with CLG Music & Media to offer you an amazing deal on a digital distribution and marketing package!

Digitally distribute your next album through CLG Distribution and receive three months of TwitterBoost marketing for free (a $225 value)!

So what is TwitterBoost? TwitterBoost is the building block of a marketing platform which focuses on building a solid, targeted fan/follower list for each client. We ask you a few questions about your "brand" to gain a better understanding of the type of people who would likely be interested in your music. Once we've determined your key demographic, we begin targeting Twitter users who match the profile as we build a following of music fans predisposed to your genre/style of music.

The gains we're able to generate are currently ranging from 25 new followers per day to 100 or more per day in some cases. Each new targeted follower is a potential fan/customer for you to market to.

Why YOU Need CLG's Digital Distribution!

CLG Distribution recently added a partnership with YouTube to our digital distribution offerings. Our digitally distributed artists and labels are now able to reach not only the traditional digital outlets (iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, etc.), but a growing number of untapped, burgeoning sources as well.

The fact is that people are watching hundreds of millions of videos a day on YouTube. YouTube is the number one video site on the internet and the fourth largest internet destination in the world, attracting 300 million unique video viewers across the world (according to Nielsen's NetRatings, December 2008). In addition, YouTube is the number two search engine in the world after Google and before Yahoo (according to comScore, October 2008)!

Honestly, if you're not creating video content for YouTube you're missing the boat. Information from a leading digital content provider controlling in excess of 25,000 tracks reveals:
  • In January 2010, the ratio of revenue from iTunes to YouTube was 25:1
  • In December 2010, the ratio grew exponentially from 25:1 to 2:1
  • In 12 months, YouTube streaming revenue grew to fifty cents on the dollar in relation to YouTube
  • Every day on iTunes, a few thousand people buy their content on iTunes
  • Every day on YouTube, a few million people stream the same content on YouTube
Quite simply, YouTube is a VERY important retailer!

The fact is that, by your hand or someone else's, your content is likely available on YouTube and, at this time, you are failing to profit from this content. As the trends continue to move away from the purchase of music toward the streaming of music, you don't want to be left in the dark. Few digital distributors can plug you into the monstrosity known as YouTube in order to capitalize on your content. But CLG Distribution can.

GospelDepot.com & Napster Grant Prominent Placement To The Damascus Experience

Napster & GospelDepot.com have both granted prominent placement on their sites for the new album from The Damascus Experience. The title will be featured in the New Release section for the week of 5/6/08.

Riding on the success of "Sword of the Spirit" which saw The Damascus Experience (TDX) being played on over 300 plus radio stations in the US, Australia, Europe and Israel, The Damascus Experience releases its 3rd album entitled "Born For The Battle" on Prince of Peace Records. Bringing their unique ability to completely fuse all styles of music into one sound, TDX embodies the art of worship through song in a way that transcends many racial and cultural boundaries.

The Damascus Experience is full of revelation for a world in crisis. As the leader of a "musical church of Acts", Rich Spremich, like Paul, witnessed a rebirth through crisis and uses TDX as a platform to share the good news of Jesus Christ to a world in need...a world that doesn't necessarily begin where the church door ends.

Digital Distribution Update

One of the new and exciting things happening at CLG has been the development of our digital distribution capabilities. We now offer digital distribution through all the major sites and have partnered with a company that markets product to these sites. All marketing costs are factored into the percentages taken from proceeds, so there are no up-front, out-of-pocket expenses. The focus is to secure prominent placement on various download sites if at all possible. Contrary to popular belief, these types of opportunities are not only available to major label artists. As with all aspects of distribution, though, success will springboard off the efforts being made by an artist or label. It's a competitive business, but our partners are securing excellent placement on behalf of clients. Approximately a week ago, they secured TWO out of the TOP TEN Editor's Picks on a major site for a small Gospel Rap label located in Portland, Oregon. Online, placement is king. The increase in business can be substantial, indeed.

In related digital news, we are now provide digital downloads and CD/DVD burns for our distributed product in a multitude of Christian retail stores around the country. Currently, there are at least 650 stores on board. Through the use of advanced technology, each burn or download is counted and paid for on a monthly basis without the need for physical product to be supplied on our end. Due to the advanced technology, it's impossible for anyone to circumvent the security measures in place.

Here is a rough listing of the online digital retail sites we are servicing product to...
